The
"Linwood Bible"
The United Methodist Men were honored at their last meeting by Sam
Martin who had received Linwood Haynes Bible from his sisters. Unselfishly,
San presented the Bible to President Jimmy Dickerson as a memorial to
Linwood. The Bible will be an integral part of the meetings and programs
of the United Methodist Men of Duncanville. Grace and Peace to you Sam,
thanks.
What is UMM?

Methodist Church at the local church, Annual Conference, and denominational
levels among the purposes for United Methodist Men are:
- To involve men in a growing relationship to Jesus Christ and His
church;
- To provide resources and support for programs of evangelism focused
on the needs of men;
- To provide resources and programs in the area of stewardship;
- To provide models and support for Annual Conference and local church
United Methodist Men organizations.
FISH FRY ENJOYED BY NEW HORIZONS CLASS
Rumored worth $1500.00
Farm raised catfish (not Czar Bair fish), fries, home made slaw, hush
puppies along with the usual sauces and dips were a big hit with those
attending. A special desert of dutch oven blueberry, cherry and peach
cobbler topped with home made ice cream was served.
Musical numbers were provided by Jerry Bair. (He can sing and fish,
wow.)
Overheard was the comment, "I don't like fish, but this was good,
I ate it."
Plan your strategy now to be the highest bidder at the Fall Festival
for you and your class mates and friends to enjoy the Annual Methodist
Men Fish Fry for 2006.
