Young Adults (18 - 29) Information Form

Your church would very much like to keep in touch with you, whether you are just now leaving home for the first time or have been on your own for several years. As a young adult (age 18 – 29) of the First United Methodist Church of Duncanville, we would like to keep you aware of the different things going on in the church. If you are away at school, we want you to know we miss you and that we really want to see your smiling faces when you are back in town. If you are living in the area, we want to give you opportunities to become more involved.

The first area of involvement in which we would like to entice you is the music department. The chancel choir is in desperate need of young, beautiful voices and we want you to join! The choir will begin rehearsals on Wednesday, August 3rd, at 7 PM in the rehearsal room. If you have not had the opportunity to work with Steve Sobczak, you do not know what you are missing! He is fun and talented AND is ready and willing to do some kind of choir trip next summer just with your age group. The trip would also include those people who are away at school who would be able to rehearse the music when they are in town for school holidays.

The second area we would like to offer is a Bible study. This could be held either during the week or on Sunday mornings. There are several different and exciting Bible studies that many of you would find very interesting and intellectually stimulating. It would be great to have the opportunity to introduce you to something that would bring you true spiritual growth.
