(updated 2/5/06 ) Methodist 101Communion
The Lord's Supper is often called Holy Communion or the Eucharist. It is a REMEMBRANCE of Jesus' sacrificial death and glorious resurrection. It is a CELEBRATION of God's covenant of forgiveness, love and hope. It is a REMINDER of God's presence among us and a SOURCE of grace which helps strengthen and renew our faith living. It is the occasion of THANKSGIVING as we thank God for life and new life in redemption. It is a SIGN OF THE UNITY shared by Christians everywhere for all time.
Our Communion is open to all--young or old, Methodist or Non-Methodist. |
