Typical Church Service at FUMC

Communion is served on the first Sunday of every month. Our communion table is open to everyone.

We follow an order of worship and include children's choirs, handbell choirs, youth choir and chancel choir participation every Sunday. These are rotated on a weekly basis. The youth choir sings every Sunday at the 8:30am service and the Chancel Choir sings at 11:00am.

Hymns are sung from The Methodist Hymnal, the rituals of the Methodist church include the Affirmation of Faith, the Lord's Prayer, Calls to Worship and other items that are printed in the bulletin.

A nursery is available for children 3 and under. Pagers are issued to parents when they leave an infant so they can be contacted in case of an emergency.

Outbackers (1st- 6th graders) under the direction of Rev. Sheri Hollingworth. Following the Children's Sermon during the 11am worship service Outbackers will go to Aldersgate Fellowship Hall where they will learn popular Christian songs, have a scripture lesson, be taught about core worship elements including learning the Lord's PRayer and its meaning as well as other parts of worship such as the Doxology and Affirmations of Faith. They will return to the Sanctuary during the final hymn and join their families. Encourage your child to be excited about and attend this "just for kids" service.

Children's Church is for 4 year olds through Kindergarten and meets downstairs in Wesley W-5. Parents will need to pick them up following the worship service.

At the end of the service, an invitation to become a part of our church family is extended to all.
