Fall Rehearsal Schedule

Chancel Choir

This choir is for persons over the age of 16 and is made up of trained and untrained musicians. The Chancel Choir sings every Sunday for the 11:00 worship service and also prepares special seasonal programs throughout the year. One of the highlights is the annual Christmas Pops Concert presented in Aldersgate Fellowship Hall the first weekend in December. With a mix of sacred and secular favorites there is something for the whole family to enjoy.

The Chancel Choir represents a tightly knit group that always has its arms open wide to new members. Rehearsals are each Wednesday from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. in the rehearsal room behind the Sanctuary.

Praise Choir

This ensemble is a group of vocalists from the Chancel Choir. Their repertoire is made up of mainly gospel and contemporary Christian music. Praise sings at least once a month in worship as well as making appearances for special events around the community. This particular group is by audition and requires full time participation in the Chancel Choir. Praise released their first recording, "Praise" in the fall of 1999. Copies are available in the church office for $12 each.

Musica Sacra

Musica Sacra, which in Latin means "sacred music" is an ensemble out of the Chancel Choir. This singers commit to singing on a monthly basis in worship. Their repertoire is primarily drawn from early music periods such as Renaissance and Baroque. This particular group is by audition and requires full time participation in the Chancel Choir.
