Purpose/Mission StatementOur purpose is to provide a planned program for children appropriate to their age and within a Christian environment. Experiences are provided that meet children's needs and inspire learning in all developmental areas - physical, social, emotional, and intellectual. Many varied learning opportunities will be provided for the children that will stimulate and enrich their individual growth. We encourage not just learning, but the love of learning. Our mission at First Methodist School is to expose children to many different experiences that promote success in life! IntroductionIn our school, a child will be learning many things. Among them are to: • Get along with other children and adults. • Improve physical skills and coordination. • Share - time, toys, and attentions. • Hear and respond to music. • Be introduced to beginning Spanish • Experiment with many art materials, using his/her own body and feelings to produce something satisfactory to him/herself. • Gain new security and independence in the world outside his/her home. • Discover many people who contribute to his/her own well-being and find ways to contribute to others. • Play a lot, because play is his/her work. Play is the way children learn best, and we provide equipment and guidance for optimum learning experiences in the child's world. We enroll on a first come first served basis with preference given to children currently in our School and their siblings. In order to secure enrollment space, a registration deposit is required.
