Youth Special Events

Special Lock-in

This is a time after school is out before the summer really begins to stay up all night locked into the Youth Center playing games and getting to know each other. This event is designed for the youth to come together and learn more about each other. Through the games we play and the fellowship that occurs, this event is enjoyed by all.

District Events

There are times when we get together with the other youth groups from our district to interact with other youth and have some good fun. Some of the events from the past have included trips to ASI Gymnastics, concerts and many others. The other churches that are in our district provide wonderful youth programs, and it is a joy to see these friends that are made at each district event.

30 Hour Famine

One of the most meaningful events our group does every year is the 30 Hour Famine. We participate in this event with several other churches form around the Dallas South District. We fast for 30 hours, while learning about hunger in the world and how to reach out in our local community. Donations are collected before the event that goes to World Vision to feed hungry children all over the world.
